Humanity's future depends on finding a new world to inhabit.
After a long journey through space, you arrive on an unfamiliar planet that appears capable of supporting life. As an explorer sent to investigae this world, you must travel acress strange landscapes, uncover remains of a forgotten civilization, and piece together the story hidden within the environment itself.
Without dialogue or written exposition, every part of the narrative is communicated through visual storytelling. Each scene invites observation and interpretation, allowing players to construct meaning through exploration and discovery.
The final choice is yours: stay or leave.

Far from Earth, in Wordless Space, a galaxy far far away, a lone explorer searches for a new home for humanity.
The planet Amilithos seems welcoming at first, but signs of previous inhabitants begin to emerge. As you travel deeper into the world, questions arise about what happened before your arrival and whether this planet is truly the future humanity is searching for.
The story unfolds entirely through visual observation, environmental clues, and player interpretation.

Adrift was developed as part of a master's reearch project, exploring how cinematographic principles can strenghten storytelling within interactive media.
The project investigates how techniques such as composition, framing, environmental storytelling, lighting and visual perspective can communicate narrative information without relying on text or dialogue.
